Kashmir with Delhi 5 Days 4 Nights

The 5-day, 4-night Kashmir with Delhi tour offers travellers the chance to explore two of India’s most captivating destinations. The tour usually starts in Delhi, the bustling capital city known for its rich history and vibrant culture. Travelers can visit iconic landmarks such as the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, India Gate, and Jama Masjid. They can also immerse themselves in the local cuisine and shopping experiences at places like Chandni Chowk.

After Delhi, tourists travel to Kashmir, often referred to as Paradise on Earth. Here, they can explore Srinagar’s enchanting Dal Lake and Mughal Gardens, visit Pahal Gam for its stunning valleys and Lidder River, or head to Gulmarg for snow-capped peaks and adventure activities like skiing or snowboarding.

Throughout this journey, travellers can experience a contrast of urban chaos in Delhi and serene natural beauty in Kashmir while enjoying warm hospitality from locals. This trip provides an excellent blend of historical exploration and tranquil natural beauty over five days. Whether exploring ancient monuments or indulging in picturesque landscapes, this itinerary offers a diverse range of experiences that cater to various interests.

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Delhi, India, you will be met by our airport facilitation staff carrying a placard with your name in the visitor’s arrival hall. You will be greeted and transferred to your hotel with the necessary assistance.

(Check-in time 1400 hrs).

Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to board the flight for Srinagar. Upon arrival at Srinagar, you will be received by our facilitation staff and transferred to your houseboat with necessary assistance. Enjoy a half-day tour of the world-famous Mughal Gardens i.e. Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, and Chesham Shahi. In the late evening, enjoy a Shikara Ride on Dal Lake for up to 1 hour.

 

Overnight stay on a Houseboat or Hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion tour to Gulmarg, located 52 km southeast of Srinagar at an altitude of 2730 m above sea level. In summer, the meadows of Gulmarg are laden with flowers, while in winter, the snow-covered slopes turn into a skiing resort, attracting adventure seekers. It is a popular trekking destination and boasts the world’s highest golf course.

Gulmarg Gondola is the second longest and second-highest cable car in the world and the prime attraction Gulmarg is known for. Divided into two phases, it ferries almost 600 people per hour to and from Apharwat Mountain, where most winter sports happen.

Optional Tour on a Direct payment basis: Enjoy a pony ride through pine-clad slopes which lead upwards to mountain hills. Horse ride (April – November) / Sledge ride (December to March).

In the evening return to Srinagar.

Overnight stay on a Houseboat or Hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Pahalgam, situated 2440 Mtrs above sea level, is known as the “Valley of Shepherds.” On the way, visit Saffron fields and Avantipur ruins. Pahalgam is the most famous place in the Indian Film Industry. Enjoy the natural charm of the valley.

Pony ride to Baisaran Valley, located just 5 kilometres away from Pahalgam, is famous for its picturesque beauty, known as mini-Switzerland. It’s a hilltop green meadow dotted with dense pine forests and surrounded by snowcapped mountains. This offbeat tourist place in Jammu and Kashmir is great for those seeking a quiet time in the company of nature.

Sightseeing options available at Pahalgam on a direct payment basis:

  1. Betaab Valley: This famous tourist spot is situated 15 kilometres from Pahalgam. It was named after the Superhit film Betaab starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh. The valley is northeast of Pahalgam, between Pahalgam and Chandanwari, and is en route to the Amarnath Temple Yatra. It is surrounded by lush green meadows, snow-clad mountains, and dense vegetation.
  2. Aru Valley: Located around 12 kilometres from Pahalgam, Aru is noted for its scenic meadows, lakes, and mountains. It serves as a base camp for treks to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru River, a tributary of the Lidder River.
  3. Chandanwari: Situated 16 kilometres from Pahalgam, Chandanwari is the starting point of the annual Amarnath Yatra, famous for snow sledging on a snow bridge.

After sightseeing, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay on a houseboat or at a hotel.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Srinagar / Delhi Departure

On day 5, after breakfast, visit Srinagar City, known for its lakes, charming houseboats, and traditional Kashmiri handicrafts. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is famous for its Mughal gardens, including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chasm-e-Shahi, and Pari Mahal.

Later, you will be transferred to Srinagar airport to catch your onward flight to Delhi.

The tour ends upon leaving Srinagar. Breakfast is included on the final day.
